How Can I Volunteer? We are always looking for volunteers
with a range of skills, as well as folks with more enthusiasm
than skills. 66 W. Park St., Suite 214 Butte, MT 59701 (406)782-8579 (406)782-5168 (fax) Right now, we need volunteers for committee work for the following standing committees: Family Selection Committee needs volunteers to work with families interested in buying Habitat homes. These volunteers conduct home visits to ensure that applicant families qualify for our help. Family Nurturing Committee needs volunteers to help conduct trainings for applicant families and works with homebuyers to succeed with their homes. Construction Committee needs skilled volunteers who are willing to help coordinate mid-sized groups (5-10 person) who want to work with Habitat on regular basis. We have more groups offering to help than we have skilled volunteers who are expert at aspects of construction. If you have serious skills in construction and want to give Habitat a big boost, join our One Day a Month Club, where you work with a group one day a month (Sat/Sun or weekday night indoors) to coordinate a group of semi-skilled and unskilled volunteers. Must be able to read plans and be willing to follow construction instructions. Site Selection Committee needs volunteers to help review possible construction sites and existing properties and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors about properties to acquire. Press Relations and Fundraising Committee needs volunteers to get the word out far and wide to community groups, media, and individuals about the work of the affiliate. Other committees that also need volunteers: Administration,Volunteer Relations, and Safety and Training. Committees meet once a month
and some more often as needed. To join a committee, call the

and any skills you can contribute. We are also looking for volunteers for projects in communities throughout Southwest Montana, including Dillon, Boulder, Whitehall, Sheridan, Twin Bridges, and Deer Lodge.
